I love your mame compiler

I was wondering how often should you update you roms(If you have to at all)

Im running mamev126 but Ive only got V124 roms everything that I want to work, works

But I figured at some point you have to upgrade.

It's up to you if you want to update each release or not. I try to keep up to date when I can, although my cab is running around 0124. You really should run the same version of ROMs as the version of Mame as some may not work if they don't match.

Some people run really old versions of Mame because some games run faster on older versions. It also depends on the performace of the PC. At some point I will more than likely update my cab's PC to something faster in the future (currently it's running a P4 3Ghz).

I have a p4 3ghz pc as well. I tend to update my roms every u release since it's easier to get a handfull of updated roms rather than waiting several versions and then needing a 'ton' of updated roms. I tend to want the latest and greatest version of MAME for two main reasons.

1) Enhancements

2) Accuracy Improvments

I know the later builds tend to be slower for some games (if not all to a point), but like Headkaze, I plan on getting a top of the line PC to play some of them higher-end games one day.
