Disable Game Info/History Screen?

Hey gang!

Is there a way to disable the game info screen that you get when you select a game from the list? The screen that has Play This Game, and Add To Favorites and the game information. Sometimes it's fun to read up on the game, but for now I'd like to start the game right from the list and not have to go into the second screen.

Yes, the setting is under enable/disable features and called something like show game info page.

Now that I've removed this screen, is there any way for me to add games to favorites, or is this the only screen that has the option? Might there be a way to add a game to the favorites using a key combination?

I know of two ways to add games to your favorites list.

1) Enable the game info screen and select add to favorites.

2) Create a MAME32 formated folders file and point to it with in GameEx. Next time you start up, it should add it to the list for you.

Hey gang,

Just wanted to check in on this again. I've disable my Game Info screen as I like just starting the game from the list, but I really miss the Add to Favorites. Is there any way to add games with a shift key, or maybe an option to hold down the start button for 3 seconds to add a game to the favorites? Is there any way for me to be able to easily add games to my favorites without the Game Info Screen?

Like I said before, there's only 2 ways that I know of. If you don't like either of those methods, then I suggest you add your suggestion to the features request thread. I think it's a reasonable thing to want to do, so it's certainly worth posting the idea.

Btw, nice cab. If you want, you could post any pictures in the cabinets thread in the sticky section.

Hey Chazz, it looks like you have an LCD Marquee (what is the proper term? It slips my mind) hooked up to your cabinet and is displaying the name of the game being played. Is that right? Where did you get it and how did you hook that up?

There is actually a key shotcut in GameEx to show the info page.

I have not tested it in a while, but it should be ALT and 1 or Alt and Enter.

Hey guys,

I'll post a bunch of pics in the other cabinet thread, but for now here's a few more pics

For the LED sign over the cab I wrote a short little file to create my custom text files to display the game, and some other messages. I could never get Headkaze's plugin working with my Prolite. You just plug it into a serial port and copy the text file to the sign.

I have some more pictures here, and some videos here of my other LED sign.
