Really diggin GameEx - have 6 emulators already setup and running perfectly. I LOVE the Daemon Tools implementation.

I'm a bit confused about the CPS3 emulation though. Mame appears to support it, but when I load up SF3 it asks to "reformat" with the CD, etc etc., which I'm assuming means I'm missing something, so I cancelled it.

I can't find much info about how to make this work. Do you have to use an external emulator, or can I play it straight off mame somehow?

This is normal behavior... The real arcacde did the same thing... Basiclly reads the cd then burns the images to the ROMS... Then checks the CD upon launch.

Mame (since it has the ROMS) will burn to NVRAM... Wait the 20 mnutes.. You will only have to do it once per game... Like I said the real arcade owners had to do the same thing...

Way to go mame!

Also there are other emus that can bypass this but again you only need to do it once..

Any other behavior isnt accurate to the real arcade.

If youve got a updated set it works ,let it run through the loading process or you can use the asia or japan version that

say no cd they work great.

Im running Mamev123 and they work.

Interesting - haven't seen a no-CD rom - I take it that's not a standard part of the mame set. Keeping it in light with the original tho - makes alot of sense! Will let it pass through - just wasn't sure if that'd mess something up. Thanks!
