bkenobi
well.. yes. But since cloning mode (on videocard) should be enabled then, the game/media will be displayed on both screens which might be a bit distracting while playing. it's not possible (afaik) to use the touchscreen as a "touchpad" for the TV while having the TS display other "content".I wouldn't mind having gameex displayed on both screens when selecting games. But as soon as it's playing something it should only play on the tv. The TS could then show game extender viewer. Not sure how hard it is to implement something like that though. Either way if something like this get's implemented or not, I'll keep gameex on my cab. Ahhh, I see the problem. I thought the question was about getting the touchpad to work, not how the screens were used.

Tom Speirs
Apologies if this has been requested already. There is a ton of pages here and i searched through half of it to see if it was here hehe. (maybe you should clear the added requests out of this thread haha)Anyhow. Would it be possible (unless ive missed how to do it) to have any multimedia stuff such as audio/video/picture load subdirectories into the lists when browsing the multimedia sections? For example I have a setup ofD:\movies\divxD:\movies\mpgD:\movies\aviD:\movies\flvSo when I hit the video section currently I cant go any futher so it shows no movies, or options to hid sub folders.Cheers!I'm a little puzzled by this. It should already do this for videos and pictures. it does not do it for DVDs on disk though.

I went to advanced settings (as I also just learned then you can add more then one folder in the list as well, drr gues thats what add meant haha). And your right aside from that. Oddly this was totally user error (ok not so odd). I had an old dir on there. It works as expected.Edit: To clarify for those who also replied. Yea, i wanted G:\movies then it lists any sub foldes. Sure enough it does do that. So its already in there. =)
bkenobi
I think a lot of these have been requested already. There is another thread that is called "Features wanted" or something in the main section that is intended to tally the number of users who really want a feature. I would HIGHLY suggest you add these requests there!
bkenobi
Actually, I do have 2 suggested fixes/changes to the Auto Updater1) Disable screen saver or make MAME (or whatever is playing) more friendly when quiting. I've had the screen saver kick in during downloading of the update and when I hit the quit button, it doesn't just go back to the installer screen. Since downloading should only take a few minutes, my personal preference would be for it to be disabled.2) I had an error pop up the last time I updated (I think it was a connectivity issue during download). This error just popped up a text box that said something like "GameEx had an error and will now close". I think GameEx should restart rather than quiting if there is some kind of an Auto Update error. The problem is that if you have GameEx shelled, it will just sit there with a black screen looking stupid until you restart or find your keyboard to relaunch GameEx. The screensaver still being enabled was the cause of the error people were getting. Perhaps for the next version, ill make GameEx restart instead of exit. bkenobi
Sounds good. I wasn't able to test that it was still a problem in the latest version because there was no update to install....

emphatic
Support to view PCB images in the game info page for MAME games. There's a new MAME build called MAME32 Extended that already has support for this, so there are also .dat-files around for this.http://www.progettoemma.net/dany69/Emph
Robert
I'd like the screen saver exit sound to play anytime the screen saver exits. I.e., I don't want to wait until the screen save has been running for 6 minutes. they exit sound I have is way too cool to wait 6 minutes to hear. hansolo77
Minor Request:Ability to display a line on the main menu called "Play Last Game", in which case it runs the runitgame.bat file. This feature could be enabled/disabled in the setup. I tried to set it up in emulators, but because some roms are goodmerged, gameex can't read the extracted roms for some reason... LB11
I dont know if its possible due to the way different emulators display the graphics, but I would like a small overlay somewhere on the screen when the screen saver or attract mode is going. I would say the name of the game and the emulator used. To many times I come back the the machine and see a cool looking game going and then cant figure out what it is to go find it to play! To many times I come back the the machine and see a cool looking game going and then cant figure out what it is to go find it to play!If you hit the coin button, it should let you play the game right there. The only problem with that is that it doesn't tell you what game it is, so you would have a tough time finding it next time you wanted to play it. The only way I know to find it then would be to check in the log to see what games were launched or to find it in the 'Run Last Game' batch file. I don't think an overlay would be possible, but perhaps displaying that info in the CP viewer would be. That would be really nice!
one2three
Has there been any thought about adding some of the mame32xt extras in the game info page for mame? It would be cool to add the artwork previews and the PCBs. (EDIT: and the select screens)

Nologic and headkaze too! Whoever made the setup wizard.Btw, are there any advantages besides extra slots in the setup wizard that the config.exe doesn't have? hansolo77
FEATURE REQUEST:Ability to scroll through manuals by pages as well as by lines. Currently you press up and down to scroll by lines. I'd like to press left and right to flip through pages. If you have an MCE remote, the page up/down buttons would be ideal. However, when you use them now, they just rapidly scroll the pages with just 1 push. You don't even have to hold it down.Another thing to consider might be a way to adjust the zoom. Have it open up full screen width like it does currently, but then allow the zoom to be adjusted as needed.

Ill fix the MCE remote channel up/down later.OK, I never tried holding down button 1 while doing it. I've just always controlled with the MCE remote. Good to know that other method works too, and that you'll implement the left/right. Something to fore warn about that too is if you add zoom controlls, you'll probably need the left/right as well as up/down to scroll around. Simply having left/right for pages won't work in this case.
