WinUAE very slow

After much head scratching and reading of the forums here I've managed to get winuae working. I've used Headkaze's config creator and the amiga tosec roms.

Does everyone else have really slow loading times of the games? Once the game has started the speed of the game is fine and as accurate as I remember the amiga to be. But the times it takes the games to load is slower than the real amiga was?!

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Make sure you have floppy speed set to 800 (max) in the UAE config. Though you should be aware that some games could have a problem with higher floppy speeds, but I haven't noticed anything.

I made a config creater script with a buddy of mine, based on the GameBase set. Much cleaner set, without all the cracks and trainer versions. Only one version for each game. The script doesn't have a gui yet though, but I could make it available to you, if you're interested.

The turbo fd option in the settings has worked very well. Thanks for the help.
