Hi,

Just a heads up to let you know that elsemi has a test version of a cps3 emulator

on the nebula homepage.

For a very early test it works quite well..Meaning that i managed a few rounds on streetfighter 3.

Looks very promising.

actually, i've not tried it on my home pc. Im running it at work on an extreme

quad core with 4gb or ram and 2x 8800 720mb gtx.... lol

so this isnt really an accurate reflection as to how it would run on an everyday setup.

Have you tried it on yours?

No I have not yet but will soon. I'm running a 4400 x2 with 2gb ram and a z1900xtx 512. However on my mame machine it is alot less with a athlon 64 3000 and 1 gb ram lol

Running on athlon 2.2ghz, 1 gb mem 2100 ,256 meg ATI.... nothing special runs great..

MAME no doubt will be slower

Its not fully emulated...yet

we will know soon tho.

I would guess 2ghz at least. at least i run it at full speed a 2.2.

do you have a 286 w/cga monitor?

it's been added to mame 1.16u2. Not sure if that was well known yet?

That's MAME 0.116u2... Interesting though. I guess that's why people are talking about problems with this in the other thread even though it's an incremental build!

Well, ya can add cps3.c to mame if you recompile it. Haze has released the driver on its own for help.

cps3 is a failed technology due to the fact it was expensive for arcade owners and the boards sucided themselves when the battery died and had to be fixed by the manufature at the consumer cost. Not to mention at the time most games were being made in 3d like tekken etc... 2d fighting was dieing out. Only a hand full of games were made for this system SFIII,SFIII2nd impact,SFIII 3rd strike,JOJO adventure(or somthin),Warzard/redearth.
