I was able to make custom backgrounds for all of me emulators, the option is in 'custom background' but where is the custom background option for MAME?

i had a similar problem, i'm not on my cabinet pc now, but i think it was called start. like nintendo is nes, mame was start i believe. never knew why myself. if it's not, i'll go downstairs and check my cab if you want.
