Running a game from a CD...

Man, you're FAST!

Still not working though. It still just loads up to the static screen.

Here's something odd... I tried to boot the CD by pressing CNTRL-B from the static screen and it didn't do anything! But when I boot the CD from the menu, it works... very strange!

Ok, so there's this menu item called "Disable Keyboard Shortcuts"... yeah, it's probably a good thing to have that OFF when you're trying to send CNTRL-B from the loader...

I'd like to be able to run my Playstation CDs through GameEX (just discovered pSX... it works BEAUTIFULLY!)

Any chance you might be able to whip up what you did for my Sega and PC Engine CD's but for Playstation this time?

The emulator is pSX 112.

I still have the CD Serial Number program you made me.

You can run PSX cds easily in epsx just set the emulator up. And use send keys to navigate the menu was something like ALT+f+down+down+enter

in rom filter all i did was make a BAT file contaning

@echo off
echo Loading...

and set rom filter to *.bat

basicly the bat file is something to select on the menu. and epsx loads up and the send keys start the cd. Probbly not the best way but it works

Thanks for that... that's something I really never thought of doing!

But what Nologic has enabled me to do is have a list of games under the Playstation menu and then run them directly from CD. If the correct CD is not inserted in the drive, an error message will pop up letting you know what CD GameEX is expecting based on the CD's serial code... it's really quite slick!
