FEATURE REQUEST - Scraping game logos, videos, etc. for Steam, GoG, etc.

P.S. GoG has logo banners that may be able to be leveraged if the actual text logos are not available.

If we were to source the logos and place them on the FTP, could GameEx scrape them from there?

I think that I know the answer, but here it goes - Does GameEx scale up/down the image size to fit the menu/wheel?

I decided to move this conversation to its own thread in the GameEx>General subforum for testing, etc.

Another question - I know that when the "wheel" menu is selected that some tall images will result in an overlap. If no scaling is taking place, then what would be the max pixel width and height recommendation for minimizing overlap or overly large images?

BTW, I've been sourcing clean and/or mostly clean images from https://www.steamgriddb.com/ which has a TON of user submitted logos and other images. Since many of the games on GoG.com are also offered via Steam, this is a gold mine!

I noticed on the FTP that there is a logo subfolder, shouldn't they go there? Let me know.

Also, I have over 600 that I downloaded from https://www.steamgriddb.com/ and other sources. In addition, I resized all (some were VERY big) to fit within an 800p x 600p box. This should mitigate any sizing issues within wheel menus.

Yes, logo/wheels. Same thing. i provided the entire folder, should you have other media. There is some caching going on but they should definitely download once it refreshes. i can force a refresh if you ask me.

And what about logo dimensions? Is there a "sweet spot" in width or height to avoid overcrowding on the wheel!

Gotcha, will stick with the 800p x 600p scaling then as this seemed to work best when I was manually setting up AE custom lists.
