Lack of TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot may impact your ability to launch games and apps!

While not enforcing it yet, Steam is checking to see if you have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled - Check that you're ready for invasive DRM with new feature built right into Steam — Secure Boot and TPM status now listed right in the app

Other companies are enforcing it already - Valorant is enforcing Windows 11's security features. What does this mean? If you installed Windows 11 using any of the bypass methods to suppress detection of any of the Windows 11 requirements - specifically TPM 2.0 , UEFI, and Secure Boot - that the program will not run. More from Vanguard (Riot Games anti-cheat program) here as of September 8, 2025 - Vanguard Restrictions.

Likely not a complete list, but expect it to grow - Which Games Require Secure Boot

Even if you are running Windows 10 on an older legacy platform (e.g.; no UEFI and Secure Boot, no TPM 2.0, etc.), expect that some program developers may take an "all the way or no way" approach forcing you to new kit and OS.

So you may be thinking "🤬 this! I'm jumping to Linux!" Not so fast, mi amigo!  If a gaming "anti-cheat" platform requires UEFI, Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0 to function, it doesn't matter what OS you are running. A few Linux discussion links below:
