Recorder not recording table, instead the backglass. Recording wrong screen

Recommended Posts

I just started recording new tables, but the recorder is recording the unwanted backglass on display 1. I only record the tables.

My PF TV is display 3 as shown in windows. Does it need to be display 1 instead to record the table? My displays 1 and 2 compose the backglass. Might there be a PBX setting that forces the recorder to record the designated display?

Thanks.

Always for the sake of expediency provide copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files when initially reporting an issue and any additional support files as requested throughout the triage process. This requirement has not changed. Thank you.

Okay I installed the latest. The recorder is now recording the correct screen, but the recorded image is 180 degrees off. The wheels and other images are correct, but again, the recorded PF video is up-side-down. I think I am using the settings from before, but I might have jacked something up troubleshooting the original issue. Is this a setting, or maybe still a bug?

Thanks for the quick attention. I hate to ask, but if this is something I can easily fix on my end, please let me know. We are going to play a lot of VP starting tomorrow and I would love to have the videos in place within PBX.

I tested latest version and it captures with the right position.
I only noticed that I needed a newer version of FFMPEG.
otherwise I have a black mp4, where the conversion has failed of the first capture and move it to the correct folder

just installed 6.46 and I have the same problem. The video is up-side-down. I will try 6.45 now.

Is there a setting that sets the orientation of the recording. Could I have that wrong?

Just tried 6.45. Video is still up-side-down.

To clarify, my large playfield TV is set to portrait mode as shown below:

It seems there needs to be another adjustment available - main screen recording rotation. Then each person can set it to either of the four directions they are configured for.

Under display you have rotation set for Monitor 2 at 90 degrees:

[Display]
Monitor=2
rotate=90

You could try changing the value to 180 which ahould flip it upright.

Draco,

I changed it ton 180. Still up-side-down. I honestly dont see any difference regardless of this setting when PBX is running.

Tom,

When testing, I am creating all new recordings. Same problem. Im not sure how many revs ago it was, but this has previously worked flawless for me in the past. I will run an older rev and see if I can find a working version.

Thanks again guys for looking into this. I will gladly continue to test to help find the bug.

One more thing. I installed ffmpeg years ago. Should that maybe be updated? If yes, can I please get a link to the DL. I am very confused with locating the right thing. Thanks.

Just installed 6.00 from a year and a half ago. Same problem. For the life of me I am not sure what may have changed on my end. Sure seems like a simple setting to change the record orientation 180 degrees. But where?
