I have posted a request since I don't think it's still possible. I'd like to use a button combo for function like "quit emulator" (actually it's the only function I need for the combo along with maybe volume). Any chance at the moment?

I too liked the thought of button combos in the past, mainly I was concerned an exit button would be hit by mistake, after playing thousands of games on my cabinet I have not exited by mistake.  Look into Pinvol for volume button combinations.

On front of my cabinet I ended up with a start button, exit button,, my 3rd button is coin/extra ball button to keep it down to 3 buttons. 

You could map start and coin together to save a button but would run into problems if you play tables that allow you to buy an extra ball.   Start button flashes, flashing bulbs available somewhere on the net for a few bucks.

If you have a kl25z controller, you can configure a button as a 'shift' button and configure it as combo buttons (create new buttons or keyboard presses). 

I can now handle a lot of extra buttons (including buy-in ball, vr up and down and recenter, 1 coin and 2 coins etc)
