Please provide logs as described in

is dll 2.2.2 freezy's latest dll ? If so, provide dmddevice.log from pinballx and from your visual pinballx directory.

A wild guess would say, that it won't release the dmd corre tly.

Did this work before ?

I believe I understand the nature of your issue, and I may have experienced a similar problem with my pindmdv3 in the past.

Could you please provide all of the files I have requested and answer the questions I have asked?

Did this ever worked ?

Do you have a dmddevice.log from pinballx folder as well?

My assumption:

Pinballx starts and uses dmddevice.dll. from pinballx log I see it uses the dmddevice.dll,  but as you didn't provide this log, I assume it worked.

Pinballx starts a game. It give the command to shutdown  the dmd l, but the serumdll didn't do that (should be in the dmddevice.log from pinballx if it shutsdown). Visual Pinball starts but the Dmd will be initialized from a 2nd instant of dmddevice.dll (from the visual pinball folder). This logs shows it doesn't find de ZeDMD

When visual pinball closes, it returns to pinballx , but crashes the mainform as it cannot access the dmd corre tly.

Just an assumption,  but almost the same as I had in previous version of dmddevice.dll for my pindmdv3

The only difference was that it showed in the dmddevice.log from visual pinball that the dmd gave an access denied.

That's why I asked : did this worked before as freezy updated recently his dmddevice.dll (or dmdext) from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 and the big upfldate was

Quote

Updated libserum to v1.6.2
Updated ZeDMD driver to v0.7.2.

As pinballx works fine for me with dmdext for my real dmdpinv3, my assumption is that dmddevice.dll doesn't handle correctly the close command (or whatever it sends to stop the dmd) and during the 2nd instance it doesn't access your zedmd

You are more than a few versions behind and probably need to download and install version 6.07. You are currently on release 5.99,

There were some fixes to real dmds in more recent versions. That could be your problem. Otherwsie as the developer its hard for me to troubleshoot unless I have the product.

First I've heard of ZeDMD. Does it have Freezy support?

I dont think 32 bit PinballX is your answer but if you want to try, you need to run the installer with compatibly settings for xp then not install the 64 bit version.

Yes it has native support, and freezy updated the driver 2 weeks ago

I tried to explain it to you. Please follow my instructions. it is the "same" installer.

Right click the installer exe. Properties -> Compatibility.

Again, i don't think its your solution but that is what you do.

As a Dutch person I am often seen as stubborn (don't reply to this @scutters 😋,) but I suspect that your problem lies in dmdext(dmddevice.dll).

As I asked before, is this a new problem?  Or have you recently put the zedmd in your system?

I don't think its a British thing. I think it is me but my problem is patience! lol

Although you need to be pretty damn patient in the UK these days if you need medical care or help from the police!

The British trait this millennium is normally hating your own country, being miserable and complaining all the time. I think its fair to say I'm not your average Brit though.

PS: We still have the best sense of humour on the planet though. Mainly because we need it!

PS 2: These days Google and Facebook think I am an Syrian transexual.

PS 3: You may not have been around long enough to get that!

but where i can find this version 32bits for xp ? i try to reinstall all pinballx

OK, first, why do you need PinballX 32-bit for XP when you are providing a log.txt file that shows you are using Windows 10 Professional 64-bit?

If you are running PinballX on a 32-bit XP machine, please provide updated log.txt and pinballx.ini and files related to the issue. Also ensure you are running the latest version of PinballX. Thank you.

I think they are trying to fix issues with external libraries by running the 32 bit version of PinballX. I get it but don't think it will help much.

No, no,no.

Please read one of my first posts , answer all my questions and check all your dmddevice.log's

That would be a better Idea than reinstalling (older) stuff
