Add image and video files. Do you have the integrated MAME setup and pointing to where you have your MAME images and video files?

I'm not 2 add just remove the name that's floating by.  Integrated mame setup?? I have mame setup in gameex with all the files pointing in the right spot.

You cannot remove them. It is sort of a placeholder that will disappear when you add media to your setup.

Please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review.

I'm seeing some images m9ving in the background of GameEx arcade.  It's making thw screen seem a bit cluttered.  Is there anyway to add a feature to turn off  the images that run in the back?  Or the game info that shows up but you can't read it all the way through??

It would help if you had a membership at emumovies.com as they are the best centralized source for various image and video files for arcade and emulated systems.

Once there, you can download (FTP recommended) to download the MAME HD video themes by CriticalCid and save them to wherever you have set your Video Theme Path.

The Video Background path is reserved for a default system video.

You will also want to download Video Snaps to your Video Snap Path. This will allow GameEx to automatically create on the fly video theme backgrounds (AKA Dynamic Video Themes) to fill in where the CriticalCid and similar theme videos are missing.

To round out your experience, you can replace the text in the MAME games menu with corresponding logos (again, saved to your logo path.

You may want to provide a screen capture as this does not make sense to me.  Additionally, requests for Features or Enhancements should be added to this thread:

See how burger time is center in the scroll wheel the wheel art for it is showing. But  dozens of tunes as well in rhe back ground and they are scrolling from right to left. It's way too busy on the screen. I can't even see the back ground theme image due t9 it.  Did that make sense to you?

How do I make a feature request or enhancement?

If i back out of game play it will look like this:

With no multiple images scrolling from right to left in the background. It's much cleaner and easier to see.  How do I make it like this permanently??

The repeating logos in the background moving diagonally from right to left is the same issue you reported here:

Have you installed any video's in your videosnap path?

No. I don't want any either.  The screen is already pretty congested. The background you made with the arcade machines playing in the background is enough background movement for the likes of me and my family

I'll see if I can replicate this behavior as it does not appear to me to be correct if it is scrolling the logo across the background at first then not when you exit the game page back to the menu.

I figured it out. Each emulator, be it MAME, DAPHNE or others later added, have the path I noted earlier for the Video Themes and Video Backgrounds.

What you will need to do is point the Video Background path to the video with the arcade machines:

- Find the video bak.mp4 located under \GameEx Arcade Edition\Themes\Draconus\MEDIA\

- Since MAME requires a video of the same name as the system, copy bak.mp4 and paste it to D:\MAME0217\Video Background and rename it to MAME.mp4

This should fix the issue.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue. Thanks!
