Just sharing a good find.

I normally use remote desktop on Windows but it is session based and no good for live managing a Pinball or Arcade cabinet.

In recent years I used a paid version of AnyDesk when Teamviewer ditched me.

AnyDesk works good but the other day I was looking for something for Mac over old legacy VNC.

I found nomachine. https://nomachine.com

Looks pretty good to me at least on windows on a LAN. There is a 60fps option and resolution fit. Features lacking in all three of the others.

I've been using TeamViewer for a long time, but lately, the connection keeps dropping and I don't understand why. What do you think of AnyDesk? I'm interested in your opinion. I've heard a lot of reviews about it but haven't tried it yet.

TeamViewer is likely dropping your connection because you’re exceeding the limits of the free version. AnyDesk has similar restrictions.

NoMachine works great I recommend giving it a try.

I also came across https://www.helpwire.app/ it's free and works really well.

No, Anydesk does not have similar restrictions sorry. I've been using it for several years. The paid version does not cost much if you want to follow the rules. i cant recommend it enough over TeamViewer.

i have not looked at helpwire but can see its mainly developed in Ukraine by a US company. it might deserve a look.

As I said, I was looking for something for mac when i found nomachine. Nothing is really awesome on mac as a host but I stuck with paid AnyDesk in the end. On PC nomachine seemed like a really good option. Especially the 60fps support. Although there are still better options for 60fps on PC. Nothing really beats nvidia geforce based.

Im still patiently waiting for the 60fps perfect solution..

All I really want is a rdp type experience with 60fps that is not session based for when i don't want rdp. ive not seen anything do that yet without some caveats. AnyDesk and RDP for me for now.

I've been in a similar boat with remote desktop options, especially for managing arcade setups. AnyDesk has been my go-to after TeamViewer let me down too.

I’ve been using NoMachine for a bit now, and it’s been great for managing things over my LAN. The 60fps option really makes a difference—way smoother than the usual VNC setups.
