First Time Using gamex and cant get it to work right

So I'm trying to use Gamex with my Mame32, even though I put the correct path to the Roms, when I load up GameX it says there are no roms for MAME.

What gives?

make sure you run "update". You should see this on the main menu in GameEx. If not you will need to enable it in the config. It will create a list of roms, titles, snapshots, etc for GameEx so that it doesn't have to load the directory listings every time you enter the menu.

when I click on Mame there is an option to do Update game list, i believe is the very last option, you mean that one? cause I did that update game list and it still dont show me any games.

only thing I can think of is your path is wrong, or your MAME settings (in GameEx) are goofy. Almost ALWAYS you will be better off posting your log file (or looking at it first). Look in your GameEx directory for it since I can't remember the exact location. Delete it, then run GameEx and do whatever causes your error, then exit and save the log file somewhere. That way you can see if it is encountering some random error. Basically we need more info to help you.
