troyguitarman
Well I can't get vpx to load..it runs fine standalone and my fp and vp9 run fine through the frontend..my log file stops at creating directx backglass..I just get a black screen on both monitors..funny thing is the playfield will load and play through pinballxlite..I am running a old version..of pinballx..like 1.72 I think..it was working before through the other system setup..I would post the logfile..I am only on my phone.. scutters
I think you know what we're going to suggest - please update to the latest version of PinballX, a lot has happened between V1.72 and V5.55! Then attach your config.ini and log.txt files. The black screens you seen may be pinballx (pinballx screens change to black on a table launch) and the actual issue could be with the VPX setup or the launch parameters in PinballX but we need to see those files. troyguitarman
well i Have swords of fury vpx and vp9 versions. it looks like vpx tried to load vpt file instead of vpx file..i think maybe it is not recognizing the right file extension. been trying to fix it a couple days no luck tried everything. I will try the new manager see if i can figure it out thanks
Mike_da_Spike
You got your VPX and your VPT files in the same directory. [VisualPinball] Enabled=True WorkingPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball TablePath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball\Tables [System_2] Name=VPX WorkingPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball TablePath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball\Tables this could work, if you have different names for VPT and VPX file names (and auto add will not work). Not sure how it works with the filematching string. If that is only used for media, or also for table files [FileSystem] EnableFileMatching=True I should recommend to split the 2 systems as folders as well. here's an example how I did it : I have differents systems setup in PBX for P-roc, VP9, VPX (and if Tom got VR finished, I'm ready as well ) And these are my systems : This will separate the executables and the scripts for each system. Another thing I noticed, is that your table file exists in your "Program files" directory I assume your Visual Pinball is installed in Program Files(x86). I could be wrong, but thought that it was recommended to not put it in the program files directory, as this directory is a system directory and Visual Pinball saves user DATA as well, and could cause issues. It's just up to you, but my recommendation will be to create a c:\Pinball directory and install all software (PinballX, Visual Pinball, Database Manager) in that directory and let your antivirus program ignore that directory.
