turn on USE FLAT MENUS.. in the config...

This will be good..but not exactly what your asking for..

The only issue I see you having is what happens when you come across the game StreetFighterII

is it MAME or SNES or Gameboy or genesis or ???????? Most games are ported on multiple consoles so if your only viewing the name and not filtering by console(or emu) how do you know which one your loading????

I'm curious as well about that. The most simple thing to do in case of conflicts, I think and hope, is to rename the game like this:

Street Fighter II (DOS)

Street Fighter II (MAME)

...

I'll let you know as I try.

Thanks. I think I'm a dummy. I can't finde USE FLAT Menus in the advanced configuration. I even tried looking into the config files

The only "flat" thing I found in the config files ia FlatStartPage=True/False in GameEx.ini

Its typically under "display" settings in the config, but ya, the ini line you found is the same thing. try setting it to true.
