My IFTTT Google voice commands no longer work for Pinball X due to changes by google with how they interface with IFTTT.

Has anyone worked out how to fix this?

Please help?

thx Joe

I didn't check it for a while, but did you do the changes as google mentioned, to enable ifttt in the home app?

See:

https://ifttt.com/explore/google-assistant-changes

I tried to update my existing applets with no luck. I will try to re create as instructed. Was just hoping someone may have already done this and was able to help.

Well I only got the shutdown computer working now

And needed to re-create the trigger as the old triggers won't work

After that I needed to add IFTTT to my home app

Google Assistant integration v2

Than I could shutdown the PC via google home, but wasn't able to give a parameter to the voicecommand yet

Think you can only create easy trigger without any parameters anymore :

Unfortunately, custom Google Assistant responses to the trigger phrases that have been setup by users through IFTTT are no longer supported. Existing Google Assistant triggers that allow for variable input (example: Say a phrase with a number) will no longer be supported.

Well, limited to only tasks like " shutdown computer", "exit table", "play random table", but commands like "play table X for system Y" or "random table for system X"  are not possible anymore (if I understand it correctly)

Not common but not unheard of for 3rd party apps to change the functionality of the app or api, breaking the functionality of parts of programs leveraging them.

If there is a way to fix it, @Tom Speirs is pretty good at finding it and restoring as much of the functionality provided originally as possible. Based upon what @Mike_da_Spike has discovered (and is very accomplished in his own right), Google may have limited any programmatic changes that can be made to restore all prior capabilities.

I think Mike has got t right. Things change unfortunately. Sounds like Google don't want you doing that anymore. Anyone remember when GameEx did Netflix!?

I recall that. Was at the beginning of the Smart TV revolution and streaming explosion. Now there are so many subscriptions/apps avaiailable that dedicated HTPCs and servers are almost a thing of the past except for niche users.
