I just tried recording my first table video with Database Manager since upgrading my table to 4K,  The resulting video is flashing and I can see bits of DMD video mixed in.

Any ideas?

Flashing Video

I appreciate any help!

I am not able to see your video.

Can you post the pinballX log.txt  and pinballx.ini ?

Hi Mike!

I think it's important to see the video, so I uploaded to my FTP area: /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/MrGrynch/flickering_video

I've attached the log and .ini

Edit:  remember, I recently had to turn on fullscreen exclusive mode on VPX

Ok. Not at a pc yet (I normally do all 'support' via my tablet) , so will check the video later on.

i see from the log that it  recording backglass and dmd videos.

Is your issue only caused by this table or also other tables(and isn't this a pup pack video?)

I haven't tried it with any other tables.  This is the first table I tried since upgrading my display.  This is the VPW version of the table.  FlexDMD, no Pup Pack.

I mentioned the fullscreen exclusive because it was the one other change since my last recording.  I thought that the "exclusive" part of that might be the culprit, so, I disabled it, and the recording worked fine.  The table doesn't, but the recording does.

I checked your video and indeed strange. This implicates that your flex DMD is also showing on your main screen as well. .
Or ... The hardware video capture is mixing up your playfield with your DMD display.
are you using Windows to record or nvidia capture ?
Maybe any settings you need to adjust over there ?

EDIT: Don't think it has anything to do with the recording, but noticed, you don't have set 'Full screen Exclusive hack' to Yes within PBX for Visual Pinball
As this will focus the screen, maybe it is worth to test it

It looks like this was the problem.  I made this change and the video recording for Goonies Never Die was fine.  I will confirm with a few more before I declare this fixed.

Thank you @scuttersand @Mike_da_Spike!

@Mike_da_Spike Is there any way to tell DB Manager NOT to record the DMD?  I don't need it.  I am using your DMD video tool.

Depends. Using the "bulk video" button, will record only the checked parts. The "create videos, will create all videos.

I'm always use bulk videos, check the pf and bg and only missing videos

Feature request.  Add the same selection screen to "Create Videos". If nothing changes, it adds only 1 extra click and gives a ton more configurability.

Too bad :D. dbm is using pinballx to record videos and only bulk videos can be controlled with that option.
