No Backglass image after upgrading to latest PinballX rev. (RESOLVED)

Everything was working great before the update.  Only have VPX tables.

After update,  tables work fine but the backglass images no longer show up and audio does no play for some tables.  Games play fine with backglass but it is blank when PinballX menu is displayed.  I do have LAV codecs updated.  Log indicate problem with flash.ocx in PinballX directory but I can't delete it.  It says i must may Admin  rights which I do but for some reason Windows 7 thinks I dont when I try to delete it as Log suggests.

Dont think flash .ocx has to do with your issues. Thats mostly for the instruction cards.

But to remove it, you need to adjust the ACL, as a regular user has no access to it.

Back to your backglass issue: do you see the "no backglass " video playing  or just black ?

Do you see backglass media within gamelist manager/ Databasemanager?

Backglass is just black.  Backglass worked fine before upgrade for all 100+ tables.

How do you change ACL.?  I tried charging things under security properties but no luck.

I will be at my pc in 2 hours, and will explain how to remove the flash.ocx file.

If your backglass keeps black, it looks like a lav issue, althought you have reinstalled them. Any other codec packs installed that could interfere with it?

What kind of backglass files do you use ? Mp4 ,Flv, png ?

In VPX I use the direct backglass files.  I used the pinballx recorder several years ago to create audio, table, and backglass media.  Basically it loads the tables and records the table and backglass video and games sounds and displays it when the menu is active.  Video and audio changes as tables are scrolled through the menu.

Everything worked fine before the PinballX upgrade.

Not aware of any other codecs other than from the PinballX site.

Thanks for helping.  I built the system about three years ago and finally decided to update it.  Starting to regret that decision.

Don't regret your decision to upgrade your front end.
I know you feel sorry that it won't work, but we will get to a solution.
Just hang on

Just created it quickly, but maybe it will help you to delete the FLASH.OCX

But don't think it will fix your backglass videos (but just my assumption)
These are my settings for the LAV codec :

and make sure the correct formats are checked as well:

@Tyboderek

Looks like you are using B2S files rather than backglass media (images/videos) in PinballX. Maybe that broke in a later version of PinballX or the move to .net core? (dunno, never used that feature)

Sort out the flash.ocx issue and change this Pinballx setting to No if you're sure you recorded backglass videos previously

Ok - changing the Display setting as scutters suggested worked.

Flash.ocx issue - was able to delete as Mike suggested but got the following error (see flash_snap) upon reinstalling PinballX.

I also get a startup error the first time PinballX runs (see Start Error Message).  But if I click OK it starts up and everything works.  Annoying since I have to keep my mouse by the cabinet but at least everything else appears to work as expected.  Can restart it without issue.
