When |I want to add a table to PBX a window opens that I can choose the table from:-

[Game Manager - add game - select]

This winow is full of files I've deleted and some other random rubbish.

Can somebody tell me how it is populated so that I can clear the list out.

Thanks for looking.

As far as I remember, the list shows all the visual pinball files in the list.

So if you clwar the tables in file explorer, it should show a difference in the list as well

But to be honest, I'm  not a game list manager user (found another tool that will work as wel)

It's showing stuff that isn't even in my tables folder. Stuff I deleted a long time ago.

Anyway, what manager do you use? It might work better for me.

I think it is what's in the tables folder, but for VP the filter may include files that aren't .vpt or .vpx (so maybe you deleted the table file but left some other files related to the table)

That'd be Database Manager of course!  Lots of stuff to help with table and media management in the app. Installer comes with documentation and should hopefully explain everything.

Hi Guys

I didn't mean to be rude when I asked what you use.

I didn't know about the database manager or that you wrote it!

I might giver it a go at some point but as I said I'm a bit scared to update anything right now.

You weren't rude, and not our meaning to be rude too.

But just try to help you.

Dbm looks scary, but works like a charm. It is easy to use. If you scared that it wreck anything, make a copy of your database folder, so you can always revert back.

But I think , if you try it, you will love it

No worries guys thanks for all your help.

I'll give database manager a try at some point and get back to you.

Just one quick question though.

Will all of the tables I already set-up in PBX still remain if I swap over?

Thanks again.

Yes, all existing systems and tables will remain.

(but there's no harm in backing up your database folder anyway - backups are always good!!)
