Friday 13th Issue

Hi Folks

When I launch Friday 13th from PBX the playfield doesn't show on my monitor. The game is running but I just get a black screen. I can see the backglass and DMD.

If I go into VPX and uncheck "Force exclusive full screen mode" it does.

It works fine when starting from VPX via the OS in either mode.

I'm not sure if this is a table issue or because it is the only one I have with FlexDMD running.

I have VPX V10.7 and PBX V2.5 (I know this is very old but it works fine otherwise. I have tried to upgrade a lot of times and had many issues)

Any help appreciated.

Sorry, but pbx 2.5 is really out of support. 

I have friday the 13th running on pbx 5.41 and doesn't have issues (vpx 10.7 as well, running full exclusive mode)

 What kind of issues you bump into when upgrade pbx ?

I find that all sorts of crazy things happen.

Tables won't load. Vpinmame doesn't load/crashes.

These things happen after I upgrade even if run tables from VPX without PBX.

Do you have any idea what might cause these things?

If the tables won't load outside PinballX then it's unlikely it's a PinballX issue.

I think you'll need to try the update again, your issue may have already been resolved in one of the many revisions since v2.5. It sounds like it's a focus issue and you could probably ALT+TAB to bring the visual pinball player (VPX) window to the front, if that's the case then it is probably something that's been fixed.

I tried Alt tab but that didn't work.

I'm going to do an update when I feel brave enough.

Make a full copy of your pinballx directory ! 

A couple of mo ths ago, i was brave to reinstall windows on the cab, but only with a good backup it made a success
