Can you attach (no copy & paste) your pinballx.ini please? 

Also, can you try an updated installation of PinballX? Current version is 5.22 and this may resolve your problem.

Looks like you copied a pinballx installation,  instead of installing.

As Draco said: upgrade to latest version, run settings.exe and go through all pages.

If anny issues occurs, please attach the files and not copy the text

Is there an easy way to upgrade, and preserve all my settings?

 

I can’t even launch PinballX to start the automatic update.

You download the latest file and perform an "over the top installation." This will preserve your settings. You may want to locate and save the pinballx.ini file to a separate location if you have any uncertainty.
