gameex arcade lost bezels in attract mode

i updated my roms to 236 and mame thought everything was ok but noticed i no longer in attract mode have the gameex bezel for vertical games or game info when its running? i didnt change anything else. i have tried everything to get it working again, only thing maybe my ssd drive is failing and something got corrupt but i reinstalled gameex arcade again over itself and didnt help.

Did you load a game and hit TAB on the keyboard to see what was showing in the ROM display settings?

Typically when you upgrade your MAME version and ROM set, these settings will be default, despite your GameEx settings.

when playing the games the bezel for the game shows, its just in the demo attract mode nothing is there, i have a older backup drive and i booted from that drive and in attract the bezels and the game description with the name shows. i have allways updated my roms and never had a problem i even copied over the older roms 232 to the drive with the problem and the same thing. i dont want to use that it has a lot i removed so i could go to a smaller ssd

Gotcha. Tom will need to take a look as I don't see anything amiss with your setup.

Looks like the issue is right there in your log. Looks like a user rights issue to me and GameEx cant delete the directory. Try manually deleing the MAME artwork path/bezel etc.

delete the folders in the gameex arcade media folder?

No, in the MAME artwork path.

spent the afternoon making all new directories and re-copied all the artwork, roms and mame from the backup hard drive. made new mame.ini and edited the gameex arcade config for the new directories and still no bezel or info in attract mode in gameex arcade?

I still think its the issue I said. What artwork are you talking about? (GameEx bezel just uses it own) Please post mame.ini,. Thanks.

The dir I am talking about will be somehting like C:\MAME\Artwork.

Unless it a temporary folder gameex is using. Ill look shortly.
