Error scrit vp9

Hi everyone from france. I have a script error (stopshake) on pinball x when i start a vp9 table (scarred stiff) i've tried everything and it doesn't work . I've installed vpx 10.6 and pinballx 5.19 since 3 mounths ago. Normally everything is ok! I' m really in stress because it's my favorite table. Help please.

Please attach your pinballx\config\pinballx.ini and pinballx\log\log.txt files (the log file after attempting to launch the scared stiff table).

by the way, there are VP10 versions of scared stiff available on vpforums for download.

It's attempting to launch the VP9 table with VPinballX.exe

There are two things you can do;

• Use the alternateexe flag in game manager or pinballx database manager to tell pinballx to use the VP9 executable instead of the VPX executable (search the forums or reply here if you need help with that)
• Or (and this probably makes more sense on your setup), remove or disable the scared stiff table from your Visual Pinball database and add it to your VP9 database ([system_2] on your setup)

it's not appear in vpx exe i have only vpx tables there ; when i lunch ss vpt with virtual pinball it works but not in pinball x.

i heard in pincab passion that when i have an error script(stopshake.starshake) on vp9 tables it's maybe be the pinmame : download higher version?

This is because the .vpt extension will launch the correct visual 9 exe file. Launching from pbx you need to set the table as scutters mentioned to the correct exe.

Gamemanager doesnt have the option and you need to change the xml file manually. Databasemanager has tan option in the main screen for visual pinball tables to set an alternate exe

Not sure what error you have.

A script error can be caused byanything, but ishould first to try to launch the table with the correct version of visual pinball.

Ok, i think i understand now.

Even though you have three Visual Pinball systems added to PinballX, you only add tables to the built in 'Visual Pinball' system database, and the other two system entries created are just empty databases?

If that's the case then to use the alternateexe flag can be added by;

PinballX Database Manager

Just find the table and fill in the field shown here;

Game Manager

Mike is right, the alternateexe flag cannot be added directly in game manager (sorry i misled you!), instead you need to open the database xml file in notepad (found in Pinballx\databases\sytemname where systemname is whatever system you added the scared stiff table to, so presumably 'Visual Pinball' for you) and add a line for that table entry for alternateexe like  <alternateexe>VPinball921.exe</alternateexe> so the table entry would then look something like this (your entry might not have all the fields shown here, don't worry about that);

If unsure about editing the xml file manually then make a backup copy of it first.

Thank you so much for your help. I found the solution : in pbx setting on other system i put visuall pinball 9 instead of vp9 in name system. It seems to works! And i put all my vp9 tables separately in a vp9 folder in table folder.

now how can i save my folders? There is any bottom save . Because now when a run pbx it runs the same table twice : i don't see the copy of the table when i add it .

Sorry, I don't understand that either.

Are you asking about how to copy the table media from the old system to the new system and how to remove the table from the old system?

Im sorry i did not present myself.

Im running in an old gigabyte mc.ddr2 800mhz  intel processor e8600 3,3ghz  with a 4gb memory  gc gtx 660 twin frozr. Windows 10 pro .Ssd 120gigas.I know it is the minimum to run vpx and px. 2 screens 23 and 17". Maybe i should rise the memory to 6gb?  Or reinstall pinball x? Because now when i start px i have only vp9 tables and when lunch it says can' t load....

Can you create a screenshot of the error ? Never seen that ?
And if you only got vp9 tables , maybe you have a miss configuration somewhere
Can you post you latest pinballc.ini and your log.txt (as attachment and not as plain text)

I reinstalled px 5.19 but i don't know how to attach vp9 xml files to vp files (together) this is the only thing i want to do. Sorry im a newbie. Is there some tuto with pictures about it?

Not sure if I understand your question (sorry, Im Dutch) If you have an xml for vp9 and an xml file for vpx, you can merge them as a group. And can show them again via list option in the menu.

Within Databasemanager  we created an easy way to create those groups. It is under settings. Databasemanager has a manual included  with pictures (no movies). I create a group called " all cosual pinball", that vontains my vp9 system, vp10 system, vpx proc systems ,

I hope this is what you mean, otherwise I still doesn't understand your issue

Have a look at the PinballX documentation, it is a little dated but should help 

At the bottom of page 5-18 there is some information about creating custom groups. For your setup i think you'd need to create a "VP All.xml" file (name it what you want) in your Pinballx\databases\groups folder and then in notepad make the contents look something like;
