[RESOLVED] PinballX shortcut not working now

I am having a issue using a PinballX link from my desktop that use to work. Now the only way I can get the program to launch is to use the PinballXLite file found in the same folder.

The PinballX link shows it to be the same size file as the PinballXLite file but only the PinballLite file will launch the PinballX front end.

Any suggestion on how to fix this issue and not lose what I have setup?

Can you attach copies of your log.txt file (in pinballx\log folder) and your pinballx.ini (in pinballx\config folder) files. That should help us work out what's happening.

If you haven't updated to the the latest version then also try that first, and try running PinballX direct from the PinballX install folder rather than the desktop shortcut (not sure i read that correctly in your post)..  then attach your files after that

Are you saying that pinballx.exe is removed from your pinballx installation folder ?

If so, try to install the latest version of pinballx. If it is still gone, check your antivirus software.

I know just enough to mess things up but I think these are the files you are requesting. If not just let me know and I will try again.

As for updating It has been a while since I messed with the program or any of the software so I have forgotten a lot (most really) of what I did to get this all setup. But I am a fast learner. (most of the time) So I want to be careful what I do as not to mess anything up if you know what I mean. So maybe I should update the software. I am sorry but I have no clue how to go about that or where to get the latest version. So any help I can get would be great. Let me know what else is needed for me to get the help I am asking for.

 

I have tried to run PinballX from the PinballX folder and it does nothing.

The image shows what is in the PinballX folder.

The program will load and run if I double click on the PbiballXLite file but I get nothing if I just double click on the PinballX file.

Not sure what you did in your folder, but PinballX is not launching at all .
Also you have a old version (00:42:16.01  9/7/2021:  PinballX - Version 4.13).
Download latest version of PinballX, install it in the same folder, rerun pinballx.exe and post your log again

Latest version is here, as Mike says just install straight over the top of your current install to update;

I installed the latest version and ALL SEAMS TO BE WORKING NOW!!!  Thanks A Lot Folks.
