[RESOLVED] Pinballx setup wizard

Hi all, I’m trying to save my settings in pinballx setup wizard but it isn’t saving, anyone have any ideas why? 
I have a 3 screen cab set up, 1 being my play field, 2 backglass and 3 dmd, in the wizard it is putting 1 play field, 3 backglass and 3 dmd but not letting me change by backglass to number 2.

 Hi Derek,

What is your installpath of PBX ? It should not be installed in tne program files folder of Windows.

Can you post your pinballx.ini and the files in the log directory as attachments?

so here i think is the problem however it wont let me change saves to this text

You can just attach the file itself rather than an image. Makes it easier to read.

Also you didn't answer Mike's question about install location, don't install to Program Files just C:\PinballX or something. That might explain the problem, or is the pinballx.ini file marked as read only for some reason?

If you want to modify manually (not sure why you would want to do that though) there 0 based in the ini. So subtract 1.

Also, you need to enable the DMD.

It is installed to c:/pinballx and seems that the ini file is set to read only for some reason, how would i change this?

Right click on pinballx.ini, then select properties.

This box should be unchecked;

Thank you all for your help, I followed advice above and managed to change from read only and got it working.

 

now my issue is that when my tables are loading it loads up on the backglass screen then once loaded goes how it should, is there away of stopping it from loading on the backglass and getting it to load on the playfield?

Huh ? You say that visual pinball is showed on your backglass, but when it loads, it shows fine on the playfield ?

If so, launch vpx and move the editor to the playfield and close it. Next time, it launches there as well.
