New to virtual pinball. I installed the latest versions of PinballX and Visual Pinball yesterday. I am running a dual-monitor environment under Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) v1709 (pic of system specs attached). My video-card is an elderly AMD Radeon HD 7700.

I have gotten things to the point where, on launching PinballX, Monitor-1 (1920 x 1080) displays the 'backglass' and Monitor-2 (1366 x 768 - portrait mode) displays the 'table'. Visually, everything looks correct.

However, when I select and run a Visual Pinball game - no matter which of the four I currently have installed - the 'loading' process appears to begin but after only a few seconds, I am returned to the 'starting' screen (see attached picture).

None of the 'usual' signs of crashing (error messages, lock-ups, or programme-termination) have ever occurred.

Launching the VP games directly from the Visual Pinball software produces the same result.

Any suggestions that could point me in the right direction toward resolution would be appreciated.

The ini file is only showing a default setup of visual pinball (and only configured visual pinball9)

Are you launching vpx tables ?

Accordto the log, nothing is launched and that implicates that it cannot find the table files

Please run in your pinballx the settings.exe and check if your emulator is setup correctly.  You can cjeck verify in one of the latest steps

If you setup all correctly and using Databasemanager,  it will shows easily new tables, but also flags tables that cannot be found.

I think you posted an old ini file?..   I can't see any reference to  a Visual Pinball X system name which your screenshot shows. Can you check and post a new one. Also let us know your install path for Visual Pinball and attach a zip file of your pinballx\databases folder.

If the games don't work from Visual Pinball then something else is wrong. Or is that a typo?

As an aside, not sure if this is a test setup but i'd use the higher res screen for the playfield (unless it's tiny)
