ode1979
I really mean it. My main pc, wich is my test pc its a windows 10x64 with 10gb ram, 1gb amd card. Future pinball runs slow, and if i use the lowest settings some games wont run. Visual pinballx runs slow as well, visualpinball 9 runs fine and pinball fx2 and fx3 run slow. BUT when i transfer all to my cabinet, that is using windows 7 x64 with 8gb ram amd firepro 512mb, all games run smooth. So too me windows 10 steals way to much power from cumputers. That being said, i want to ask, what setup (OS) do you guys use? and are there any advise to make windows 10 run faster, like windows 7 fast? ive seen advices on google but most of them do nothing. Or do you guys know a version of windows 10 that runs smooth? Thanks for watching.
Mike_da_Spike
I use w10 20h2. An i7 7700 with 16gb ram and nvidia 2070 8gb video card I had issues with FP as well that it was slow and not performing. Because vpx is much better I didn't use it. Couple of months ago, I tried it again and followed TerryRed tutorial (normally I just try it). Also only use the new fp tables. All runs smoothly now, but still... VPX is the big winner for me. More photo realistics, better physics Also bought FX3, Pinball Wicked , zacaria. All plays smooth. Too bad I bought The Pinball Arcade with the Arcooda key. Realy a waste of money So not sure whats going on in your system. Check cpu, mem and gpu when running a game
scutters
Latest Win10 works well for me too. Make sure you disable or add exclusions to Defender
BrandonLaw
Windows 10 can be a buggar. I use WinAeroTweaker which is a free program to disable much of the BS. Keep in mind we don't use these things as PC's so disable EVERYTHING not needed. Research services and disable them at startup. Another good program is Startup Delayer to manage when apps can/can't load. I hibernate with a smartstrip so bootdown of the whole system with the press of a single button is quick and bootup minus bios is about 12 seconds right into PBX. I really load nothing else other than Steam and Nvidia CP in the background.

Mike_da_Spike
@BrandonLaw I tweaked most myself. Removed with poweshell the default windows apps. stopped a lot of services, which I think I don't need. i also launch Steam and Nvidia control panel as well.also launch DOFLINX, pinemhi leaderboard (everybody should do that!). Running windows degender, but skipps the complete pinball folder (also steam installed in that folder)
ode1979
I actually (since i dont have anything important on my main pc) reinstalled windows 10 with the latest version. Did all the tricks i could find to make it fas, and i have to admit it works just like windows 7, not sure why they added all this bloatware or functions. I have not tried all the pinball software variations i mentioned before, so im a start on that and post back. thanks for the advice guys.
ode1979
So after a clean install of the latest windows, and a few tricks done, i left windows defender. But all seems to run faster and games so far run and play nice. Will keep testing. Thanks guys for the advice.

ode1979
One more update, turns out amd hd 6450 wich is 1gb ddr3 is weaker than a amd firepro v3800 512mb,firepro its better, why? maybe the 6450 its damaged? although it works fine aparently, not sure why but the firepro runs smoother . On a regular windows 10 with no tweaks firepro runs games much much smoother than this 6450. I know they are both potato cards I can even record decent videos with the firepro but not with the the 6450, check it out.
