Draxonic
Hi folks, Is anyone else having a problem with the Harry Potter table where the PinballX backglass, despite being hidden, ocassionally appears and sits in front of the PUP Backglass? The net effect is that the PUP Backglass ocassionally goes black, and will then come back only to go black again moments later. I can confirm that if I run the Harry Potter table from Visual Pinball instead of PinballX, I don't have the problem. The issue ONLY exists when I launch it from PinballX. Does anyone have any suggestions for remedying this (other than the suggestion I've already received to convert to PinUP for the menu)?
scutters
Not seen that issue. What version of PinballX are you on?, there was a fix a while back to set pinballx backglass to the back (after the B2S exe for VP got updated as part of pinup)
Draco1962
Please attach copies (no copy and paste) of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files when reporting an issue. Also attach a copy of your xml file containing the Harry Potter table. Thanks!

bushav
To make my Pup tables work correctly I have "hide backglass" checked in PBX Game Manager for any and all Pup video tables. Also to make PBX work faster and smoother I do not "Use B2S". This option you will find in the PBX settings. I think if you follow the above suggestions the PBX backglass B2S nor video will show while the table is running. Good luck.

UseB2S is set to False in PinballX.ini and hide backglass is set to True in the XML.
scutters
I can't check my HP pinup config now, but can you post a screenshot of your settings for this pack?. Just wondering if you have a 'force back' option set where others have 'force on' or something in pinup. (also confirm your pinup version)

As you're a real dmd user all i can suggest is checking this post https://vpinball.com/forums/topic/harry-potter-the-goblet-of-fire/page/3/#post-162377, maybe the note at the bottom from @BrandonLaw is relevant to your scenario. Why you would only see the issue in PinballX i don't know.

I'll have to try that, although I like the little DMD videos. :-|
BrandonLaw
I'm still unsure why anyone would use a b2s file when a pup pack is needed. It confuses VPX and just doesn't play well. I've tried importing, renaming, different location, and VPX still acts up with this behavior so I just nixed the b2s and replaced with backglass videos for PBX. Problem 100% solved. My find for Harry Potter and GoG was that the use of .mp4's for UltraDMD would cause the driver to reset momentarily and the backglass would go black and reappear if you have 'Use Videos' turned on. The videos show up in the PUP anyhow...no need for them on the DMD. Static bg again.
