[RESOLVED] GameEx Arcade: Weird one: Pinball Action does not appear in List

Hey guys,

 

weird one where I do not see Pinball Action in the game lists.  I have the rom, rom works in mame, added to "Do not filter rom" list in gameEx setup, updated list...but still does not show.  Others get it to show up in their listing?

Initially Pinball Action was not showing in my list of games for MAME. To resolve using MAMEUI64 v0.222:

I had to run MAMEUI64 first and set the ROM directories to my MAME ROM paths. Next, added pbaction to the Do Not Filter These ROMS section of the integrated MAME>Advanced MAME section, then launched GameEx Arcade Edition and went to Arcade>All Games>Update List. Pinball Action now shows.

If you are using "vanilla" MAME, you will need to edit the rompath within mame.ini to your MAME ROM paths (if more than one path, separate each by ; ). Mine looks like this:

# CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS
#
homepath                  .
rompath                   J:\ROMS\MAME_0222_ROMs;J:\ROMS\MAME_0222_CHDs

Do this before the launch GameEx>Do Not Filter>Update List steps.

yeah...i had a space in my list for the do not filter area.    I double checked right after i posted and then my daughter started playing and I became distracted.  Tested this morning and it is listed and working...

Yeah...we just played "Blasted" which I have never played two player before.  She loved it!
