I have a general underlay named underlay in Media/Images.

This work Fine.

But i made system specifics underlays named as each system in System Underlays (Visual Pinball, Pinball FX3, etc)

Now general underlay isn´t show in System List, only when i move some systems show the specific Pinball FX3 underlay.

When i enter in a system, work fine, show the specific system underlay.

But in system list no show general underlay.

I have the underlay (general) in Media/Images and now i copy this file in System Underlays folder as underlay, as systems, as - system -, and as default, and anything work.

How i named the underlay for system list and where is placed????

Thanks

Patience, Grasshopper! I am sure someone with knowledge will look into this as soon as they can

In the meantime, attaching copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files may be of help to get things started.

I just wanted to post the exact same question.

I think @PcTeknic has the same issue I just bumped up too.
@HiRez00 created for me system underlays (thank you very much for this, those are really awesome), but in the systems menu It only shows   the fx3 underlay image is shown (thats the first system it finds) , but this image stays there, even switching to another system.

Should this change, or should we have an underlay named - system - that will be showed in the system list ?

These are the files in the system underlays directory :

image.thumb.png.993bcc3d86415436e2b7dfc7b6cb3839.png

Showing correctly per system, but in the system list it shows like this :

Always start with FX3 screen

systems_fx3_resized.thumb.png.9d20cbbfa71f89233ce8d2d39aaf1998.png

but switching to another table :

Systems_VPX_resized.thumb.png.826d3ad0519bbe0b3104547ecc7c421d.png

the FX3 underlay is visible
PinballX.ini and log file attached

@Tom Speirs is this the way underlays works ? I tried to use a  - system -.png , but that didn't work as well.

Exactly, that's exactly the problem that I have.

I have tried to rename the underlay for the list of systems underlay.png as - system - and as default, and I have tried to put that underlay for systems in images and in system underlays and nothing has worked.

In systems view it always displays the Pinball FX3 underlay image.

This just affects the system list view, correct, and this is not a bug introduced?

Yes. Only thr system list. First time I use different underlays with names, so not sure if this ever worked correctly

@Tom Speirs
Just did some testing with previous version.
Since systems are introduced in version 3.49 (If I recall it right), in the system list, it only shows the underlay of (properly) the first underlay it can find.
Not sure if it should have the same feature as in favorites, where the underlay is changing [er system, or that we can have a "- system -.png" to have an default underlay

Here is the PinballX.ini and the Log.txt, although we already see that it is not a failure in that Pinball but a general failure.

The ideal would be that in the systems view it would show the underlay.png of the images folder and that when entering each system, it would show the one of each system (Pinball FX2.png, Visual Pinball.png, etc) of the System Underlays folder, when there are no images there, it should still show the undelay.png of the images folder.

---------------------------

Latest version of PBX fixed it for me. Thanks @Tom Speirs for the great support of a free tool.

I appreciate the time and effort you spend for us to create this great front end and keep it up to date.
