With the new version 4.19. The quality of NVidia encoding is really lower. The video is pixelated with a loss of detail. Could you put a quality setting option or go back to the old setting?

Cordially

I just updated to 4.23.
But I think the quality is more poor than with 4.19 itself
The 4k video is capture with NVidia driver itself and converted by FFMPEG

See for example previous screenshot (was 350mb video)

New captured video (30mb)

EDIT : Doing a compare with 4.19, I see also a decrease of quality. Didn't noticed that yesterday

I have not got any real 4k tables to test with but am using 4k 60fps.

Please try 4.24 and let me know results. I get that quality is worse but am trying to reduce file size now.

Many thanks.

It's still pixelated with 4.24

This table is not 4k. I can try it with a 4k too, but a normal table (fullhd) should not be pixelated as well

Could you get me the table please so I can test? The last video too. Thanks.

it just an example.
Do you want to have the VPX  ?

Great work @Tom Speirs!
The hevc codec looks good and also reduces the file from 320mb - 86Mb on the 'medium' quality (21).
(I noticed other videos that reduces from 100mb -> 8mb)
I'm a bit experimenting with the values to make the best videos (for myself) that won't loose too much quality.
And I can reduce my videos from 45sec to 20 sec. Don't think I notice the difference.

Again. Thanks Tom for your hard work this weekend. It looks like you wanted an easy release, but finally took you way more time, but the end results is really amazing !
My videos directory can be reduced a lot (only the4 visual pinball directory is already 60gb)
