Recent tutorial for PinballX with TPA FreeCamMod?

Hello,

Since I have a lot of free time atm I'm trying to make my vpinball work with a frontend.
I chose PinballX for this.
However, I did not find a recent tutorial or guide to make it work properly.

I didn't find it either on this forum or pinball arcade forum.
I only found this video but it's dated and following the instructions gave me only a black screen. Bad luck.
I'm gonna keep searching for a few hours today. 

To be clear I don't have any real problem to fix at the moment. I'm just trying to find a guide.

Well... there is a pinballx manual:

And its about knowing how pinbalkx is working, so you can setup any system

From showing visual pinball, fx3, pinball arcade to even comic books. If you understand how to run a single table from the command line, yoy are able to set up on pinballx

Should also note that with some people including me the dmd stuff of freecammod does not work anymore for already a while and seems it wont be fixed. I only use freecammod now to launch the tables, backglass i display myselve and i also use the ingame dmd now. So i'm not using the cabinet mode of it anymore only the ability to launch specific tables. Tutorials are indeed not needed if you understand how everything is setup in pinbalkx and what setting does what and knowing the commandline parameters of the systems your setting up

Oh don't worry, after 4 or 5 hours of labor I managed to make it work with PinballY (not PinballX)

Everything is working perfectly and I don't have any problem with DMD

There is only one remaining problem and it's not a big one. It's just that I have one table on VPX and its DMD doesn't save its position.

Apparently it's just that my screens are not properly set up in windows but I can't put them on the same line because that would break PBA
It's not a big problem, I just have to manually move the DMD each time I start Metallica Pro

I just have to find pictures or videos for all my tables because atm they are all default. But hey, it's working!

Just to be clear are you using the freecammod dmd window which you can move around and not the internal on playfield dmd along with latest tpa on win 10 and cabinet mode on freecammod enabled? With me it used to work but after some update it broke and never was able to fix it, i'm not the only person with this problem. But anyway good you have it working.

You could record your own video's or check the ftp if you got access. I don't have the williams tables as i bought everything after they removed the tables but i do have docklets wheels and table video's i think i record partially myselve and partially from files on ftp

I thought I recorded all the arcooda tables with backglasses and put the wheels on ftp too (hexagon wheels)

I think I won't put videos because my pincab runs on a very small SSD (60go)

 

I'm not sure I understand what you want to know. My pincab was setup with freecammod 4 or 5 years ago.

I don't remember if I could move the DMD around or if it was fixed.

I just know that the DMD are displayed correctly in the backglass with every backglasses.

I remember that I made my own camera files but I don't remember if it was me who positioned the DMD.
