Hello,

I originally purchased Gameex back in 2006 for an arcade that I built and it worked great.  I have since setup another arcade and want to run GameEx again.  Back then you had one choice of GameEx, you load it, double click the .reg key to license it and you were good to go.  Can I get a similar regular GameEx and own that version as long as I want?  I see one in the store called "1 Year GameEx Pass".  Will my GameEx on my arcade stop running after 1 year and I will get the nag screen again or will I continue to be able to play but no further free upgrades?

Second question:  I seem to be able to run version 11.52 very well on my Win7 install.  If I buy a version today, can I installl v11.52 if I still have the install and run the .reg key I will get when I buy it today.  Will it unlock that older version or if not, can I request the key for an older version?

Really appreciate the help.

The GameEx 1 Year pass will give you a registered install of GameEx including  single year of online access.  It will not stop working, but you will loose online features and updating.  Basically it simply reverts back to basic member after 1 year.  See here for details.

GameEx Lifetime is the same as the above without the 1 year limitation and both give you access to any of the three variants of the frontend.

The process with the reg key you get remains unchanged.

The keys are not version specific however, so the only way you be able to load v11.52 is if you saved a copy of the installer when you originally downloaded it.  Previous releases are no longer available to download, but you are of course free to install one at your own risk if you have archived it.  That version is quite old however, and is more likely to have compatibility issues with some modern releases of MAME.
