Just to let you know I updated the MAME release download to the latest a couple of days ago as it seemed to be causing a lot of confusion like this.

anyway now with 0.197 works well ... but if I use the 0.210 many roms are not recognized such as Bubble Bobble and very common games so better an old but working version

No worries but that's MAME for you rather than GameEx, as far as I know!

Does the first part mean this topic is resolved despite not seeing Hyper Athelete (which may be broken and not working or need to be added the Do not filter these ROMs list) .

Also, I split your post to a new topic to avoid a run on fix everything thread. Best to have one thread per issue being addressed.
