I have two quick questions. I'm working on another theme *basically a mod of the arcade classics theme* What are Foreground backgrounds and how do I stop the "image 1 and image 2" from moving for example when I choose a background for say SNES and want to move "image 2" It'll move it from the other backgrounds too. I'm still a theme editor n00b :D

Go into Edit->Options and turn on "Custom Emulator Layouts". Now each system can have it's own layout.

In case anyone wants them, here's my custom MAME bezels. Extract both folders to the GameEx MEDIA directory, and make a copy of the bezel and paste it into the MEDIA directory overwriting the default one. Thanks to Headkaze who supplied the metallic logos used in these bezels. :)

Looks sweet! :) One suggestion though is to have the inside of the Mame logo filled in and alpha faded so there is a slight difference in color but you can still see through to the SF characters. Nice work though!

EDIT: You inspired me to create another SF bezel!

EDIT2: Actually I quite liked this one without the Mame logo so I've included one with and without the logo. Also included the psd.

Wow HK! These bezels look great! Damn you for being far superior to me in the Photoshop department! :)

*heads back to DeviantArt for more brushes* :)

I just uploaded my theme that I created for my Vertical Galaga Bartop that I made. I feel the need to explain it though. My cab is running just 55 MAME games and nothing else. I didn't do any graphics for the EMU's or anything like that and the resolution is strictly for a vertical cab. I figured some folks might be able to use it or modify it for their own purposes.

Many thanks to Neverending Project over at BYOAC for the art. I didn't modify it at all and shamelessly stole it ;)

The hard drive crashed on my Ms. Pacman cabinet, any chance you "Shamelessly Steal" a version for my girl?

I suck at graphics. :(

That looks amazing! I am working towards making mine look a little more DK authentic, any tips on making a game-oriented theme? I started fooling around with the editor and think I can do some minor image work if I can find some high-resolution images. Good work!

This really isn't a full theme, its actually my Photoshop master file I used to create the theme I'm using.

I've labeled and clustered all the like layers to make it easy to hide/show a specific system or console and it's components.

Pretty much everything is it's own layer (including my logos) and can be turned off/on or moved independently.

As I add and update images in the file, I'll update the file on my web host from time to time too... But I'd love to see what ya'll do with it.

It's about 20mb big (compressed...bleh)

I cleaned up a few things on the logos I had tried to replicate. So, here it goes:

Some nice work there Elfo !

Those logos are beautiful. Thanks a bunch!

I especially like that you made matching exit and search ones. I never could find any exit/suspend logos that I was happy with.

Any chance of doing the remaining logos for GameEx in the same style (videos, jukebox, etc.)?

I've been using other logos I've found on this site previously, as shown below. If you'd like something more in the vein of the ones I made, give me a suggestion for what you want to see :) I'm kind of out of ideas at the moment.

Here are some logos I made over the weekend for a quick little HTPC.

Jukebox: post-5159-1234315876_thumb.png

Love the jukebox. I'm using it for an external app: SKJukebox

Thank you!

(The blue fits in well with the theme I've been running forever: NexGen)
