where is a good place to get mame32 without having a stupid fileplanet account?

I don't think MAME32 0.107 is out yet. When it does come out, you can always find it on a torrent if you don't want to sign up for the account.

Hope that helps! :)

I use Mame32+. It's been released for 107... I don't know what the differences between PLUS and regular. I just remember reading somewhere that it's added features seemed more desiring than just the plain old version. I haven't downloaded the 107 yet, so you're on your own if you decide to get it. You can get it here:

Well, I use clrMAMEpro to rename / readjust most files for me, so I only needed like 15 new ones. I think there were something like 40 or 50 in the torrent pack (0.106-0.107)

Hope that helps! :)

Adultrey is clrMAMEpro really necessary. I've read about it but never used it. I started with the 105 mame set and have only upgraded once to the 106 set. What does it really do.

clrMAMEpro is a ROM managing utility that fixes your MAME ROMs using the xml option. For example - if the new version of MAME comes out and digdug.zip gets changed to digdg2.zip, clrMAMEpro will take all the unneeded info from the zip file (like unneeded board info and such), rename it and get it ready to use properly. Then it will let you know what ROM sets you're still missing so you can easily go and download them. I've been using MAME since the 3rd version came out, and things change so fast it's just easier for me to use a ROM manager to keep everything straight.

Hope that helps! :)

i would say clrMAMEpro is necessary - especially if you want to turn off verify roms in gameex (and even with that option on, you'll wonder why many games are missing if you dont use a rom manager)

at first i tried to get by without it (because im lazy), but got in a mess. it's worth spending half an hour learning how to use, will save time in long run.
