[RESOLVED] new error message

hello i updated gameex yesterday after being away a few months and just let it run through its screen saver course overnight to update artwork, etc.  just received an unhandled exception and the error log popped up when i exited. hopefully i attach the right one if someone could take a look, thx

Probably just one of the emulators did not exit correctly. Hard to troubleshoot something like this or suggest it is GameEx at fault when you have run so many games from different emulators.

now it just installed another gameex up date and heres the log.  looks like now its direct x.  ive made no changes since last time this was on, just auto gameex updates, thx.

I think its a one off where it just downloaded MAME ICONs. Check the artwork download log. I will fix for the next release though.

Also ensure you have LAV codecs installed.

Yes gameex loads but as soon as I select mame games I get the error log and gameex closes. So I'll wait for next update release thx

Delete all the bitmap files in the media folder beginning with SurfIcons

Also, do you have codecs installed? It may be crashing trying to play a video file.

It wont be fixed in an update.

Just to confirm. Please do what I asked with the ICON bitmaps. It wont be fixed in an update. Sorry.

I have windows 10. Is there a specific one  or preferred option I should install.  Is it in my installed programs or a separate download I would have had to install. I have a ge force video card.

Its in the GameEx downloads section but please try deleting those files I said. Okay?

Deleted bitmap images and installed LAV CODECS. No more problems with selecting mame games thx.
