Man there is a lot of series being rebooted this year, and with it huge boom or bust potential.

A new Alien this spring.....

Looked pretty good from the trailer - looks like they may be preserving a good balance. 

Seriously - gave me goose bumps!

Blade Runner 2049 Buzz: Critics Are Raving About the Long-Awaited Sequel

hmm, my birthday, and I'm off.  Yep, know what I'm doing!

No spoilers here, but I did go see this yesterday. 

This is a long movie, and one I found to be a worthy successor to the first.  Recall the first one wasn't a happy go lucky non-stop action movie, and so anyone going to this expecting it to be something different will be sorely disappointed.  Ryan Gosling plays this role very well IMO, impressively so, and I had my doubts.  The cinematics are absolutely amazing!

We had quite the spread among our group.

I really liked it, but same could be said for the first

My wife that it was okay, and felt about the first one the same.

Our best friend (my best man) called it a stinker, to which he got the stink eye from several as we left the theatre.
