Hello, i am new to gameex. Sorry if i sound like a noob. The problem i get. i have coppied a load of mame roms. About 40gig. I have pointed gameex to the right directory and run a scan. It is very strange. it seems to only pick around 100 and not all my roms. I also tried runnning the mame.exe outside of gameex and i get the same issue. Is there some issues running certain roms? Please help its driving me mad. Been at this for a week.

Hi MagicFerret69, welcome to the GameEx forums.

I moved your post to the GameEx, General forums, as you had posted this in the GameEx Evolution forums.

First you need to provide your GameEx ini and log to give everyone here something to work off of, but if you're getting this same problem outside of GameEx, it's unlikely a problem with GameEx proper.

Does the romset you're trying to run match the version of MAME you are running?

 

You may want to verify your set with MAME:

mame -verifyroms * >verify.txt

oops sorry about that. Thanks for your help i will try that. It could be my roms. maybe not gameex as you said.
