Tom Speirs Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 And IMHO: Axl was great. PS: Lot of grey and bald haired rockers there! Quote
hansolo77 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Actually, as cool as that is, I'm pretty pissed at all the cell phones. Used to be, you couldn't bring a camera in to a show like that. I remember going to an Aerosmith concert and they had signs up saying my camera would be confiscated with no returns if I tried to bring it in. I wanted to take pictures of ME being there, not of the band because I was too far away. Now, you can't even see the show because of all the people with their phones out recording it above their head. It's crazy. Quote

I got more pissed off with everything pushing past me although most people were courteous. I always seem to be in the way when I go out and I am a relatively big guy too. lol Quote
tthurman Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 They could have done a lot worse than Axl, and he actually doesn't sound bad IMO, if you can get past the fact it's not Brian Johnson, who quite honestly I haven't been able to understand since Flick of the Switch tour. It's almost like the rest of the band rubbed off on him, and sometime post For those about to rock he developed this accent that forever changed his signing voice. Regardless, they put on a wicked cool show, and that looks like a really nice venue I bet it felt good to get out and have some quality down time I heard on the way home Friday that Johnson was contacted by a hearing specialist who had invented some new in ear monitoring/hearing aid that wasn't ready for public launch, but that Johnson had met with him and was amazed with the results. The story went on to say his future with the band looks much more promising now. Quote
Tom Speirs Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Yeah, it was certainly nice to get out and let my hair down. It was a good group I was with also. Having to stand up for 6 hours was not good but my back held out and the beers helped Quote
