Visual Pinball 9.9.0 crashes when exiting most tables inside of Pinball X

I dont have the crash issue with VP...inside of PinballX is when I get the error.  The error does not kill PBX either, it just shows the "VP is not responding..." and then after about 5 seconds that error goes away and VPX continues on.

I just tested Adam's Family in VP and it exits fine.  Tried again in VPX and once I hit esc in PBX I get the error as mentioned above.  I will probably need to post on GameEx forums but thought I'd ask here as well.

any ideas?  This is a new OS and I am trying to get everything working on my old OS.  I did not have this issue on the old OS except occasionally.

I recommend trying to get it resolved here first. My guess is that the errors are probably OS related and if you resolve for within PinballX you will find a solution for within GameEx.

Can you respond with your pinballx.ini and log.txt files? Keep in mind that I don't run VP at present,  but there are plenty that do that may be able to help.

sure thing.  Log attached...and i think this is pinballx.ini - i found it in c:\pinballx\config

thanks guys. In the meantime I added about 12 more tables and during testing in PBX they all gave the message when exiting.

Double-check that your WorkingPath and TablePath are correct.

Double-check install directions for Visual Pinball, VisualPinMAME, B2S.Server or anything else you have running with VP. Updated run-time environments are not always installed when you install any of these programs. Check that any required by these programs as documented in the install instructions are up-to-date.

If you are upgrading from XP, you will find that you will have to run all pinball executables as admin especially since you have things installed in the Program Files (x86) folder.

After reading this I was looking around at a couple things and got me thinking about Pinball X compatibility modes.  I had run as administrator already checked but thought I'd try running  in Windows 7" compatibility mode(even though this is a Windows 7 PC) and I tried three tables with no crashing when exiting out of the table.  So mark this tentatively "Solved!'

thanks for the info Carney but I think maybe I missed a step in Pinbal X setup.,...FYI there were no issues at all when closing out of these same tables when just ising VP - so i felt confident those settings were ok.
