Hi all!!

After updating my mame list I have only 54 games....

On my emulator mameuifx I have more than 10.000 games on the list.

I have same config on two computers, with the only difference of Gameex version. On this installation I have latest version of Gameex.

It's possible a bug on latest version of Gameex?

Thanks in advance

It can't be a problem of the latest GameEX because last night I reformatted my PC and installed Windows 10 Pro. The latest MAME hooked into GameEX just fine and found almost 8K games.

I did however set everything up again in the setup wizard. I didn't attempt to use anything from the previous install.

I'm only having a problem with a GameTag pluigin which I will post about in the appropriate thread.

Fixed it. I love how log file tells everything wrong :)

Well awesome to hear that! I try to keep my logging detailed enough to help. :)

I'm with B2K24, I rebuilt my list after an update to my MAME EXE and my games appear to be all there.

I updated my list about 20 times and I can't make appear more than 34 games...

No luck for me...

Run the setup wizard from the windows start menu when GameEX is not running. Double check the MAME settings and Advanced MAME settings very carefully.

Have verify ROMs set to No (You can verify your stuff with clrmamepro)

It's ok to have No porn, casino, and mahjong (if you want) but make sure all other filters are not on.

Last but not least extract official MAME somewhere and try with that. Perhaps it's some problem with the latest version of UIFX

His filtering config looks okay to me, but he was having a problem earlier today/yesterday with GameEx crashing during the update due to lack of memory.

I wonder if perhaps this is factoring into this problem as well. Perhaps your machine was already experiencing some memory management problems when the update was downloaded and applied. Taking this into consideration, I may be a system restart followed by an over the top install of the latest GameEx release could help in this instance.

Hi!!

It seems to be a memory overflow problem....

Is there any way to export my gameslist from other installation and import it to this one???

I don't know another way to do this, because the system seems not be good to update list by yourself....

What version of .net are you running? Perhaps more relevant, did you update to a newer version lately?

Just a hunch, and probably a long shot at best, but I wonder if the above 2GB of addressable memory that was introduced in 4.5(i think) isn't possibly causing issues for you. "IF" so, rolling back to a previous release may be a possible solution for you.

Ok, finally i solved the problem with original mame executable.

After updating list I changed the path to point to the mameuifx and now I think is working well more or less....

Thanks for all your answers.

Interesting solution. I will have to remember that one.
