Evilforces Posted February 14, 2016 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Hi all!!After updating my mame list I have only 54 games....On my emulator mameuifx I have more than 10.000 games on the list.I have same config on two computers, with the only difference of Gameex version. B2K24 Posted February 14, 2016 Share Posted February 14, 2016 It can't be a problem of the latest GameEX because last night I reformatted my PC and installed Windows 10 Pro. The latest MAME hooked into GameEX just fine and found almost 8K games.I did however set everything up again in the setup wizard. I didn't attempt to use anything from the previous install.I'm only having a problem with a GameTag pluigin which I will post about in the appropriate thread.Fixed it. Double check the MAME settings and Advanced MAME settings very carefully.Have verify ROMs set to No (You can verify your stuff with clrmamepro)It's ok to have No porn,casino, and mahjong (if you want) but make sure all other filters are not on.Last but not least extract official MAME somewhere and try with that. tthurman Posted February 14, 2016 Share Posted February 14, 2016 His filtering config looks okay to me, but he was having a problem earlier today/yesterday with GameEx crashing during the update due to lack of memory. I wonder if perhaps this is factoring into this problem as well. Perhaps your machine was already experiencing some memory management problems when the update was downloaded and applied. Taking this into consideration, I may be a system restart followed by an over the top install of the latest GameEx release could help in this instance. Is there any way to export my gameslist from other installation and import it to this one???I don't know another way to do this, because the system seems not be good to update list by yourself.... Perhaps more relevant, did you update to a newer version lately?Just a hunch, and probably a long shot at best, but I wonder if the above 2GB of addressable memory that was introduced in 4.5(i think) isn't possibly causing issues for you.
