I'm a noob here, so if I seem like I don't know much that is why.

Is there a way you could have GameEx as a zip file or something instead of needing an exe installer?

(I put my emulators and stuff on a flash drive from time to time, and play on shared computers that may or may not let me install things on them...)

GameEx is much more than just a basic front end.

While you can use it for just that, it has other features that extend far beyond pointing to directory paths and emulator executable's.

Seems something like mala might be a better fit for you, where keeping things on the lean side is a priority.
