[RESOLVED] External or internal mame?

Is there any difference between use external or internal mame? How can I use one or another option?

I would recommend integrated MAME in GameEx, you get a lot of extra features with it that aren't available in regular MAME. At the same time it takes a bit more work to get it to your liking. Filtering configs etc....nothing difficult.

It is located in this section of the configuration wizard.

Also while your in the config wizard, make sure to not confuse Advance MAME Settings with AdvanceMAME (which you don't need unless well, you're using it) I know that sounds obvious, but I've seen it done many times.

If you want to forgo the integrate MAME support, just configure it as an emulator.

I recommend you manually download MAME, as opposed to using the built in downloaded, and get the version that matches your romset.

I'll use the integrated mame then although I am having this problem.

Over the version of mame, I want use the wolfmame 0.151.
