So I've mentioned in a couple of other threads that even though Star Wrs was a huge part of my childhood, I'm relatively comfortable that the current stewards of the brand will art least continue to make an attempt to produce quality output.

But this latest news, is just ... well ... Damn.

That's just cold, yo. No wonder their top name producers have been leaving in droves. Along with Star Wars, Konami titles really did inform a rather large part of my childhood, and it's sad to think that we may not see their legendary series live on in the way that we would like them to (or at least the way that I would like them to). How about some freemium Contra, where you can pay $5.00 to enter the Konami code? Upgrade to the scatter gun for only $5.00 more! Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Maybe the younger generation will welcome this, and it will become mainstream, but there's just not enough screen real estate or "feel" for me to find moblie gaming appealing. Perhaps when forced into a situation that calls for a long trip, but immediately dropped in favor of larger displays and better controls upon return to everyday life.

Sad for sure, and while it is only the begining, I have to think that in time we'll see that shift go back to larger hardware, or at least a balance between the two. Going to suck playing ports from damn phones and pads!!!
