garetmax
On my training trip to Chicago I also went to a Dave and Busters. Whenever I go to training classes I always look to find a Dave and Busters. We don't have a Dave and Busters yet in Grand Rapids, MI yet although I saw an article last fall that one is coming so I'm looking forward to that. For anymore not familiar, Dave and Busters is a bar/restaurant/arcade that has newer arcade video games and arcade games for little kids as well. A couple newer arcades that I haven't seen before were Star Wars Battle Pod and Mach Storm. These big arcades have curved screens which wrap around 180 degrees that you can view left and right and quite a ways up and down also. The gameplay was a little easy but its still very fun as those screens are great. I can't wait to see more of that type of immersive gameplay with big curved screens. http://www.daveandbusters.com/default.aspx Here's some pics. They aren't very good as I was getting big glares because of all the arcade lights going on. For $29,000 you could buy your own Mach Storm Arcade. http://www.thepinballcompany.com/mach-storm-air-combat-simulator.aspx#.VSHNVVI5CJA Here's a Star Wars Battle Pod article. http://www.cnet.com/news/star-wars-returns-to-arcade-with-battle-pod/
hansolo77
Yeah I've never been there, but my Dad has very recently and said they have Star Wars Battle Pod there at the one near by. I want to try it out.

ExedExes
I've been to the D&B in the Palisades Center Mall just on the southern border of NY state. This was about 15 years ago. It's where I cleared House of The Dead and Confidential Mission on one credit, amongst other accomplishments.Plus, the redemption prizes are far more high end. hansolo77
Yeah I wonder how long it will be before SW Battle Pod is emulated? Of course, SW Trilogy is "emulated" but it's not very good.
tthurman
If anything it looks so specialized with the controls and curved screen, that there's good chance it will be worse than SWT. That, and it'll probably take a E7-2890V2 to do it.
hansolo77
I never heard of that, so I looked it up. $17,059.00 for a single processor?! And MEH.. it's only 2.80ghz, my 3.4 ghz is better.
